My husband has a prolapsed disc. How can he strengthen his core without pulling his back?

So, actually the, the exercise I gave a Gav earlier, which is called an ab press. So it doesn't put any pressure on the back.

Where you would basically lying on your back, put your feet up at 90 degree bend through the knee, and then you basically just focus on pulling and engaging all your tummy muscles down into your spine, and holding that for, well, build it up, but start at three seconds.

So, you're engaging, nice controlled, squeeze, everything down, and then relax, take a deep breath in, exhale, and then go again. And like I said earlier, that's just helping to wake up those core muscles without putting stress under, under the, sorry, on the back muscles.

And you get to lie down and just chill at the same time. But yeah, the main thing is that with that, he's just going to stay nice and mobile through all of the other muscles, because you know, prolapse disc, if it's painful, other parts of the body are going to start to get quite tight.

So, you don't like. Core building the core is great, but you got to make sure there's no imbalances or tightness in other places. Cause that's just going to aggravate the whole situation and maybe cause problems elsewhere in the body.
