The biggest problem I see with polo players, is their myopic focus on the ball and not the man.
And so often this allows your opposition to get back onto the inside of the field and own it. You need to pay special focus on "owning the inside of the field", and you do this by being man focused and not ball focused.

One of the biggest problems that I find in all low goal players, is their myopic focus on the ball and not the man. Let me show you what I mean. You can see some action here in the goal mouth. Black pressurizing white, and he misses that ball. But now look at this black player as he clears that ball out.
And at this point, if he changed his focus and came back to the white and beat him, and put him on the outside of the field. And that's where that video, talking about 'own the inside of the field' will be so important to you. You would see a much better play here. But here he goes straight to the ball and now allows the white player back onto his inside.
Instead of keeping him on his right hand-side, keeping him out. And he would have then had this ball free, going here. But you can see that neck shot now, just goes to the man that he could have marked.
And the other thing that I want you to be paying attention to is the horse on the right, on the black player here. You can see, it will not turn left. And if you are paying attention on the field and you see something like this, then the next time you are challenged by this man, go left, not right. Cause you know, this horse won't turn left. So, it's those little things that will really, really help you to win games and win plays.
